Kruisbrink 65 Festival

Composer/gitarist Annette Kruisbrink is celebrating her 65th birthday in 2023, and we like to celebrate with her.

In honor of Annette's extensive oeuvre ánd a brand new CD with all her work for piano (solo/quatre-mains) Muzinder is organizing a compact and dynamic festival in Zwolle on Saturday February 11th, 2023.

In the morning, a public music competition with free admission will take place in the Reulandzaal of the ArtEZ Conservatorium, for which amateur musicians and conservatory students of any nationality and up to 25 years old can apply to present themselves in front of a professional jury. The repertoire to be performed should consist of compositions by Annette Kruisbrink. Click here for the list of all her works. Questions about suitable repertoire? The competition will conclude with a lunch concert by guitarist Serhat Bulut, Mandolin Chamber Orchestra HET CONSORT, conducted by Alex Timmerman, and guitarist Jan Bartlema.

The afternoon concert will take place in Zwolle's Doopsgezinde Kerk, where the LAIS-kwartet will perform Annette's comprehensive work for voice, flute, cello and guitar 'LAIS, a song cycle'. This concert is part of the Kerken als Podium concert series. The entrance is free but a free donation is requested afterwards.

The evening will focus on Kruisbrink's works for piano (solo/four hands), performed by pianist Philine Coops and piano duo Marten&Marte. This concert also takes place in the Doopsgezinde Kerk and is part of the festive CD presentation with selected works for piano solo and piano four hands by Kruisbrink, recorded in the autumn of 2022 by piano duo Marten&Marte and Philine Coops. After the concert, there will be an opportunity to purchase a signed CD.
